Fragrancenet - They have my money, I have no goods
I am a perfume hobbyist who orders extensively from online suppliers. My early experiences with Fragrancenet have been challenging with their two week delay between billing and shipping.
Their shipping charges are $35 NZD for a bottle of perfume, so you would think it allows for premium shipping. Not so. A lengthy delivery time follows, far longer than its competitors. The order that I placed on 17 September, 1 month and three days ago, has not been delivered, nor has it any scans to indicate where it is in transit.
I have to assume it is missing over the Pacific. Fragrancenet will not talk to me about it until thirty days after the shipping date, which was 1 October. By that time they have had the use of my money for a long time. There is no proof that the item was shipped as it has no scans.
A protracted complaint system will ensure they have my money for much longer.
Not happy, never again. I cannot recommend this outfit.
Reason of review: Problem with delivery.
Monetary Loss: $200.
Preferred solution: Full refund.

Edit: The perfume did turn up, I don't have to enter into a dispute, however their systems are flawed and work to their advantage, not the consumer. A five week delay between charging and the delivery of goods and a $35 shipping fee rules this online retailer out in future.
